Overview

The Foster Grandparent Program with Head Start of Rockland recruits income eligible adults 55 years of age and older to serve as mentors and tutors for young children. The Foster Grandparents serve in public educational programs, Head Start and Child Care Centers to ensure young children in their care receive individual attention. The volunteers may participate in class activities, but their main focus is the one-on-one time with the children.
